Max Mara declares its design sense of the season links unusual topic / muse, homoerotic novel by Jean Genet, Querelle de Brest. Who knew that this novel can inspire such a successful collection of women? The vast majority of the net is truly elegant in its simplicity and fluidity. Looks to get just the right touch of menswear influence to enhance its collection with a smooth, if not before the 1990s, looking for pieces. The ultra-luxury sports really special. Fur Love of the … so simple and stunning.
Blumarine’s little sister, Blugirl, was a fun après-ski array of goat-hair boots, fur bonnets and earmuffs and fur vests crowning a flirty assortment of skirts, shorts and cute little dresses. The overall 1960?s flavor took form mostly within the embroidered shift dresses and mod styled pieces. The fun factor didn’t only come with the colors. Mongolian lamb helped turn more than a few looks into frothy delights. Anna Molinary knows a thing or two about delivering a good line-up, this season she didn’t disappoint.
As usual, Fendi delivered with a collection for fall 2014-2015 that shows what can be done with furs and the latest technologies. There isn’t anything Fendi isn’t willing to tackle and to master in the process when it comes to fur design. This collection embraced the sartorial shapes of the 17th, 18th and 19th century specifically – if not in a random order – picking out distinct garment details and assigning them to wholly new ones. The idea behind this particular collection was much more about hybrid experimentation – innovations in mixing fur types. Sounds a little odd, and it is, but once separated from the group, each piece asserts its own masterful handling, flaunting that Fendi touch.
Roccobarocco has been around for so long yet still manages to stay fresh with each season. How do they do it? By keeping up their very sexy ‘Rock chick’ theme, the one with that baroque flair, of course. The name is Rocc-O-Barocco after all! The collection delivered great dresses in beautiful prints, great leather jackets made flirty, buffalo plaid 2/3- length coats and Joan Jet looks redux. In short, there was a little something for everyone… with lots of fur trims accenting the collection.
